Snow Monkeys!

Snow monkeys are awesome! Sure I had to get up at 2:30am to catch a 4am bus, but it was worth it. We got to Nagano and there was snow everywhere. I love snow that that was a bonus. After hiking about 30 minutes up a side of a mountain (it wasn't steep at all, a very easy walk overall) we finally got to a hot spring that the monkey's used. There were monkeys everywhere. The babies were the cutest. It was a little scary how unimpressed they were with humans.
It made you wonder if they would attack you at any time since they obviously weren't afraid. There was more than one time that they would be sitting on the fence about 1-2 feet away from you. When Crazy finally saw a monkey he thought it was a cat and started yelling "kitty." Then the next thing you know he's crying (he missed his nap). That was our cue to head back to the bus. So far the monkeys are one of the highlights of being over here in Japan.

A Little of Everything

So I know it's been a while since I've actually posted something so I'll pretty much be rambling a bit in this one.

Christmas was a lot of fun. Crazy made out like a bandit. We bought him a 12 foot tunnel and set it up so he had to crawl through it to get to the tree. Once he chased the cats out of it he made a beeline for the presents.

That evening we went to Shannon's for dinner and then called it a night. Overall a very successful Christmas.

Our four year anniversary was the 28th of December. We did nothing for that since Hubby had to go back to work that day and I wasn't feeling well.

New Year's was spent at home since we couldn't get a sitter for Crazy. It was probably for the best though since I had a migraine for two days by then. We just sat on the couch and watched Japanese television making fun of the weird outfits.

On the third day of my own personal migraine hell I decided that the one thing that would make me feel better was a recliner. So we tried to find one that was suitable. I wasn't asking for much, just a comfortable brown recliner. No one had one under a grand. Well yesterday must have been my lucky day. When I was at Zama they had one that was perfect... a chocolate brown, microfiber Laz-e-boy. We picked it up today and I'm currently typing comfortably in my chair. I may never get up again. My head feels great too, must be the comfy lumbar support.

This weekend we'll be heading to Nagano to see the much anticipated snow monkeys. I can't wait! Pictures coming soon.
