Halloween

So for Halloween Crazy went as a frog prince. My aunt made his costume and I have to say he looked adorable!!! He did a great job trick-or-treating too. He wasn't shy about taking candy from anyone (hmmm, note to self, may be a problem in the future). I brought two of my english students to trick-or-treat and they were pretty shy about going up to the houses, but not Crazy, he'd push his way up to the front and manage to get out "treat" and a weak "thank you" before running to the next house. After going around the block collecting waaaaay too much candy for a 20 month old, Hubby took him home to eat dinner while I kept going with my students. I came home an hour later to find Hubby and Crazy at the bottom of our steps passing out candy. Only Crazy would chase after kids that he hadn't given candy to. It didn't matter if Hubby had given them some, if he didn't give them any he would run after them with a sucker in his hand until they stopped so he could put it in their bag. At least he can share, right?

Sports Day

Once a week I teach English at a Japanese daycare center. This past Saturday was their annual Sports Day Festival. They invited us to attend but since Hubby had to work all day, Crazy and I went by ourselves. All the kids were so cute running the races and they even let Crazy join in with the 0-1 age group. Lunch was sushi, a first for me, and Japanese oranges. While we ate, Crazy sat in the middle of the mat and flirted with all the women. By the end of lunch he had made a small mountain out of the oranges everyone kept giving him. My favorite part of the day were the dances. There's nothing cuter than 2 and 3 year old's with pom-poms dancing. Since we were the only non-Japanese there, we drew quite a bit of attention. My students kept yelling my name and all of their parents would turn around and stare at me. That was slightly unnerving. But overall it was a great day and I'm glad to have had the experience of a sports festival.

The things I do for you

Right now I should be working on my assignment for my class. I have to write a complete SOP (standard operating procedure) by Monday. If you don't know what a SOP is it's a very long, detailed description on how to do something. Not fun. I need have it finished by tomorrow afternoon because tomorrow night we're going out to dinner and then it's the weekend. I don't do classwork on the weekends when Hubby's home. Plus Sunday we're going on a tour of Mt. Fuji. Monday is a holiday so both Hubby and Crazy will be home so no time to work on it then either. By now you're probably wondering why I'm posting instead of working on it, right? Did you read the part about it not being fun? Plus I'm a huge procrastinator. I have nine pages written and am debating about adding pictures to it so I'm taking a "break". After this post is done, I'll be watching Desperate Housewives on iTunes and trying to find some other way to put off the incredibly boring assignment. But the most important reason I'm posting instead of writing is because I feel as though I owe you a post. I'm not the greatest at keeping this blog up-to-date so I'm taking the time out of my "busy" schedule to write a little something for you. Why? Because I love my readers that much! I don't want your feelings hurt because I haven't posted in a while. (Notice how I shifted the blame over to you?) Well I must go, my show has completed downloading and I have to fold some laundry (see I do do some work around here!).
