We are now living in sunny Florida. I think I'm still in denial about the actual town however. I never thought we'd end up where we started off his flight career. Anyway, we spent about 6 weeks in Texas with my parents between moving from Japan to Florida. The actual trip from Japan was less than smooth but we made it and that's what counts! Hubby moved to Florida a few weeks ahead of us to find a house and get things set up. My dad drove me and the kids to Florida since we only have one vehicle (which we bought off of ebay). Our shipments showed up (finally) and the unpacking has begun. Notice I didn't say is now finished, because it's no where close to being finished. Our whole garage is full of boxes from storage. I dread unpacking those.
Sweetpea, who I'm now going to refer to as Boo since she's now going by that nickname around here, is settled in and flourishing. She is 6 months old now and is crawling, has two teeth, and is getting into all of Crazy's stuff. She is so cute if I do say so myself!
Crazy is a little less settled in than his sister. During the move he gave up naps (picture me ripping my hair out!), started fighting bedtime, and picked up quite a vocabulary (nothing bad though, just a little surprising for his age). He is now mostly potty trained. He doesn't wear diapers anymore, just a pull-up at night and even then it's dry most of the time, but tends to wait until the last possible second to go completely forgetting he has trouble getting his pants off. He is starting gymnastics classes tomorrow so I'm hoping for the best with that. Next month he'll turn 3 and I'm hoping for some kind of miracle when it comes to his overall attitude toward sleep and listening!
I'm beginning my last semester for my master's degree. I have to write a research paper and travel to Gainesville (University of Florida) in April to take written and oral exams. Not exactly looking forward to April. Other than that the house and the kids keep me busy and tired.
