Sports Day

Once a week I teach English at a Japanese daycare center. This past Saturday was their annual Sports Day Festival. They invited us to attend but since Hubby had to work all day, Crazy and I went by ourselves. All the kids were so cute running the races and they even let Crazy join in with the 0-1 age group. Lunch was sushi, a first for me, and Japanese oranges. While we ate, Crazy sat in the middle of the mat and flirted with all the women. By the end of lunch he had made a small mountain out of the oranges everyone kept giving him. My favorite part of the day were the dances. There's nothing cuter than 2 and 3 year old's with pom-poms dancing. Since we were the only non-Japanese there, we drew quite a bit of attention. My students kept yelling my name and all of their parents would turn around and stare at me. That was slightly unnerving. But overall it was a great day and I'm glad to have had the experience of a sports festival.

Where are the pictures!?!?

Yes, I agree.. I tried to stand in the back of the crowd so as to not draw attention to myself. Yeah, that didnt work. Once the kids notice you are there then EVERYONE knows you're there:)

I'm glad you guys had fun:)
