My Baby's 2!

Crazy's 2nd birthday was last week. Which of course means Hubby left a few days before it. He's now 0-2 on Crazy's birthdays. Luckily Crazy is still too young to get his feelings hurt. Before Hubby left we had a small party for him complete with star shaped cupcakes (they were too cute), balloons, and of course too many gifts from the grandparents. We told them to get Crazy clothes because he didn't need any more toys, we just don't have the room. Apparently that was a bad idea. We waited until after naptime to open presents and eat cupcakes thinking he would be in a good mood. Boy were we wrong. He had a short nap and woke up cranky. We decided to videotape him opening his presents so now we have about 20 minutes of tape with him crying, he's cutting his last two molars, and screaming "No pants, no clothes," and then throwing them down on the floor everytime he opened a present. Nice, real nice, just what the grandparents are going to want to see. Luckily for all of us they also got him books which he loves so he calmed down a little while reading them.

On his birthday I brought a cake into his daycare. He did a great job of using his silverware to eat it. I wish I could say the same about his classmates. It wasn't pretty. I almost felt bad about bringing a bright yellow cake full of sugar in, almost. Several of his teachers gave him presents. I'm not talking about a card and a small toy either. He got a Cars study pillow, a Bob the Builder toy, a homemade memory book/card (which was unbelieveable the work that had to have gone into it), and a very large toy Mater from the movie Cars. He loved all of them. Seriously, the kid is spoiled.
