Hiccup has a new best friend and his name is Macho. He is my parents' Great Dane and he has calmed down immensely since last year. Last summer he would knock the kids down and run over them. This year he would lay quietly while Hiccup climbed all over him. She would get the biggest grin on her face when you mentioned Macho's name and would look for him as soon as she woke up in the mornings. Her favorite thing to do in the morning is eat breakfast on the porch so she could "share" with Macho. Her second favorite thing to do was force feed the dog his dog food. He tolerated it like a champ. Hiccup can now say "doggy" when she sees him. I know he will be sorely missed when we leave.
