One of the things the kids always look forward to when they visit my parents is going fishing. They take them over to our neighbor's tank (aka pond to you city-folk) and they get to practice their catch and release skills.

Hiccup and I went with them for a little bit until she decided she'd rather go home and sleep. The kids fished until dark, and when they came home there were two more in their party. Apparently Boo caught two little fish and didn't want to release them. She wanted to bring them home, as in to Virginia. So what's a grandparent to do? Find a water jug and let her put the fish in them of course! She came running into the house to show me her new "pets". I'm surprised those fish weren't dead in the morning. We finally convinced her to turn them loose in the horse's water trough so they could grow big. Now she can't wait to see them next summer.
